Meet Kevin
Kevin is 54, lives in Houston, and works long days in a profession that requires him to make dozens of small decisions before lunch — and he cannot decide where to get his colonoscopy.
Houston gives him every option imaginable. The Medical Center. Memorial. The Energy Corridor. Cypress. Katy. Jersey Village. Independent GI practices. Hospital systems. Each one is reachable. Each one has reviews. Each one runs a different scheduling page.
He does not have a problem with the procedure. He has a problem with the decision before the procedure. Every search session ends with more tabs open than he started with, and no appointment scheduled.
What started as careful research has slowly turned into something else: a comfortable form of postponement that looks like diligence. He is not being lazy about screening. He is being thorough about not deciding.
And underneath the thoroughness, the same question that brought him to the search bar in the first place is still there — quieter than before, but harder to dismiss now that he has been thinking about it for two years.
There are so many places to go… I just need to know where to start.
